Yetti Ego Free Zone

On August 16^th, 2012 guests were invited to the RBI room at YBCA to wear outfits & costumes made by Aaron Terry. He then documented their interactions with each other and with the outfits in the hope of revealing something about the nature of ourselves as human beings in the process.  The gallery functioned as an “ego free zone” (or even a neo-ego zone) for the evening. Participants entered and checked their "selves" at the door and then left having been rejuvenated by an hour off from themselves while donning the costumes.

During the event, a soundtrack played in the background and participants were asked to describe where they imagined their outfits and alter-ego’d selves would be in the photo shoot. Afterwards, Aaron photoshopped their interactions into the places in which they imagined themselves to be in costume.
